What We Do With Transferred/Uploaded Files As part of out offerings, you can from the Contact Page, upload or transfer a corrupt file to me for analysis. In the past these files were kept for variable lengths of time in order to develop the software offered on this site. As of today 11/20/2013, all previous corrupt files used for development of the software, which numbered about 100 corrupt Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, were permanently deleted. For future development purposes, your files will not be used, unless you specify that that is acceptable for S2 Services or me Paul Pruitt the sole proprietor, to do so. Instead, files once analyzed and repaired will be sent to you and then deleted. Corrupt file samples for use in further software development, will be procured from public sources such as Newsgroups and Message Boards where users have publicly posted corrupt files, with the presumed knowledge that they are available to the public to download. On some occasions I may use trusted 3rd party web services or individuals to assist me in repairing you file.
